Both the School and the Conference will be held at Collegio Cairoli (Piazza Collegio Cairoli, 1).

Collegio Fratelli Cairoli is a public university college and one of the 13 colleges of the Ente per il Diritto allo Studio (EDiSU) of the University of Pavia.

The opening session of the Conference will be held in the Volta Hall of the University of Pavia (Corso Strada Nuova 65).

How to Get to the Conference

From Milano Linate Airport to Pavia city centre

  1. Use “Linate Shuttle” to arrive in Milan Central Station.
  2. From Milan Central Station use the train (Trenitalia) to arrive in Pavia Train Station. Pavia is easily reachable from Milan by train (Travel time: 1h 35 min).

Or

  1. Use Metro Line 4 (To San Babila) and stop in Dateo Metro Station.
  2. From Dateo Metro Station go by foot to Milan Dateo Train Station and use the suburban train S13 to arrive at Pavia Train Station (Travel time: 1h 10 min).

 

From Milano Malpensa Airport Terminal 1 and 2 to Pavia city centre

  1. Use “Malpensa Express Railway Link” or “Malpensa Shuttle” to arrive in Milan Central Station.
  2. From Milan Central Station use the train (Trenitalia) to arrive in Pavia Train Station. Pavia is easily reachable from Milan by train (Travel time: 2h).

 

From Orio al Serio Airport to Pavia city centre

  1. Use “Orio Shuttle” to arrive in Milan Central Station.
  2. From Milan Central Station use the train (Trenitalia) to arrive in Pavia Train Station. Pavia is easily reachable from Milan by train (Travel time: 2h).

 

By Car

Pavia is well-connected to the main highways in Northern Italy. If you plan to travel by car:

  • From Milan, take the A7 motorway (Milano-Genova) and exit at “Pavia Nord” or “Gropello Cairoli”.
  • Follow the signs to Pavia city centre (Travel time: 45 min).

Parking: There are several parking areas in Pavia, including “Piazza della Minerva” and “Viale Matteotti”, which are close to the train station and city centre.

 

By Bus

Pavia can also be reached by bus from nearby cities:

  • From Milan: Take the bus service provided by Autoguidovie. The bus departs from Milan Famagosta metro station and arrives in Pavia city centre (Travel time: 45 min to 1h 30 min).
  • From other cities: Check regional bus services, as several lines connect Pavia to towns in the Lombardy region.
